Re: will diamond buy worcester

I suspect Stagecoach and/or Souter Investments will be looking to buy some/all of Arriva Group & First Bus UK. The former now only operates in the UK having sold their US interests & most recently being blocked from bidding for UK rail, whilst the latter has just had a £160 million cash injection fo...

Re: Replacement Coaches for Worcester

When I zoomed into the picture I noticed that they have put the fleetnumber on the coach! I was surprised as it was neither of the ones we initially thought... It shows 20611 (LK07 CDE) This coach is the same body and has most recently operated for First Berkshire (like the citaro’s) And looking at...

Just trying to work out what other operators livery this bus is similar to . . . . :?:
Yarringtons?
Looks more like a Best Impressions reincarnation of Transdev's Pride of the North livery:

Re: Public Enquiry

I did come across this article from 2011 regarding wheel loss incidents & various causes: http://www.transportengineer.org.uk/transport-engineer-features/careless-torque-costs-lives/34983 I suspect a lot of the younger mechanics / engineers that are employed within the bus industry these days are li...

Could the additional 6 be 52 plate examples from Southampton as per 64012?
Yes.
Are the 52 plate examples also being given a freshen up / light refurb? As they're getting on a bit.

Re: "New" vehicles for Worcester?

Tony Hunter's latest First Group fleet changes to 4th April have as follows:

64012 Southampton - Worcester
64033; 64042; 64043 Slough - Worcester

Could the additional 6 be 52 plate examples from Southampton as per 64012?

Re: Lessons from First Kernow?

A lot of the changes at Kernow are being driven by Cornwall County Council and the Devolution deal & additional funding the council received for bus services and infrastructure. Bus operators are committed to providing new vehicles as a means to avoiding franchising: http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/commu...

Re: FMR Fleet Movements

Two things in the photos, of interest to me : - One is that First appears to have already removed and replaced the lower side panelling - presumably to check for corrosion of the body frame (??) (ie: rather than leave it to Thorntons to do); That B7RLE has already been refurbished by Thorntons and ...

Re: Just another day for Diamond

- did I read that they are redeveloping the main bus parking site so that there are better maintenance facilities there ? DD12, Yes, that's correct. Rotala have been granted planning permission to re-develop Plymouth Road which includes the following: Additional Engineering bay / new external bus wa...
