Re: Conductors Whistles in Times Gone By

From my research, I believe the M22 group were at their peak at about the time the new depot opened in 1954. The down-turn in passengers started about the same time and Malvern’s first significant cuts came in late 1956. After then there was only one morning peak-time M12 journey, the rest being M22...

Re: The "Fifties"

Just checked, there is no change planed for the S51. The reason it was mentioned is because they are thinking of changing the journey that follows it.

Re: The "Fifties"

Card 57 is unchanged. The service is basically an all-stops version of the X50 and can be used by anyone. Re: The "Fifties"

A few changes are to be expected to "the 50s" in March. These have not been registered yet so are subject to change if somebody somewhere changes their mind. Or someone has a better idea! The main change will be the Service 52 route which will be the same as now between Worcester and Drakes Broughto...

Re: Conductors Whistles in Times Gone By

In Malvern, growing up in the early 1950's I had an almost daily experience as to why, because we lived on the Howsell crossroads in Malvern Link which was then the terminus of the hourly M12 Great Malvern to Belmont service... Re: 66305

66305 has been sent to Leicester to see if they can fix an ABS fault. It is due to transfer there once all the green buses are in service, so it will be interesting to see if it ever comes back.

The same thing happened last year, and it took a couple of weeks to refit the transfers
Weeks? Try months! The "Midland Red" transfers weren't refitted until late September!!

West Malvern Closed (Service 675 & 676)

From tomorrow (Monday 15th January 2018) West Malvern Road (B4232) will be closed for about 7 weeks for road works. The result is that the whole of West Malvern will not be served by Service 675 and 676. Worcestershire County Council will be running a free shuttle service using a 16-seat minibus whi...
