Re: 100 Years of 144 celebration 15 October 2014

Four years already?! 😲

The livery has lasted well. As expected there has been the odd knock and bump picked up over time, but both vehicles still look good. Shame they don't drive so well anymore. I had 33404 a few days ago and it is starting to feel like a pre-war bus to match the livery! 😜

I found my copy on eBay some years ago. Haven't seen another one listed for quite some time.

Re: Padmore Street in 1985

Imagine the uproar if we did that now... Where would all the pushchairs go? 🙄 Example photograph ... and it was only taken 20-yea...

Re: "along the Salt Road" !

What does it do? Well they didn't warn the drivers the system was live so on the first day it was quite successful in giving one driver the shock of his life! It uses the GPS signal from the ticket machine to work out which stop is next and announce the names of the bus stop as the vehicle approach...

Re: "along the Salt Road" !

Worcestershire County Council are paying for all of them to be fitted with the next stop announcement system, and I believe one vehicle is fully working as a test subject. Not sure which one it is though!

Re: FMR Fleet Movements

I am informed by “bmmoboy”, who clearly couldn’t be bother to post on here, that both 69449 and 69460 are at Worcester, having arrived sometime last week. I have seen the back of 69460 parked inside the garage without Salt Road branding, and I’m told it was used in service for about half a day befor...
