Re: New Mercedes

Two more arrived at lunch time today, these are 64014 and 64016. Both are in standard Urban 2 livery.

The second photo below shows 64014 parked with some of the others that have already arrived. 64016 was indoors being a bit camera shy.

Re: Worcester's DD usage.

I believe the passenger numbers on the S45 have dropped this season and it is already being operated by a single-deck each. I don't think a coach will be used. I also get the impression there will not be a spare double-deck and all maintenance will be done at weekends / holidays and between school s...

Re: New Coaches On Order

Many Johnson's coaches in Worcester over the last few days for the Worcester University Graduation Ceremonies at the Cathedral. I didn't get a chance to get any photos, sorry.

Re: FMR Fleet List

While my plans to leave First have been put on hold for the time being, it is still an option I am seriously looking at. When this happens I will not be able to maintain the fleet list or timetables so the focus of the website will just be on the historic side of things, hence the removal of the lin...

Re: New round of disposals and transfers-out.

The livery was indeed first used on the buses used at the 2012 London Olympics but it is called “Urban” by First. The Olympic name came from enthusiasts. Since the current “Urban 2” came along, the 2012 version has become known as “Urban 1”.

Re: 44514

It is still on the books and was listed as being at Worcester on the planned fleet list sent to me by the MD earlier in the week. At the time of the accident it was so badly damaged it was clear it wouldn’t be back on the road for some time so I chose to mark it as withdrawn to reflect this. It is c...

Re: New round of disposals and transfers-out.

Update... There has been "a dramatic U-turn" regarding 53041, and it will no longer be coming to Worcester. The new plan is to keep 53062 on the road at Worcester. The engineers were not happy with the idea of it coming back and I think they ganged up on their manager! While it's certainly good for ...

Re: Poppies on board

Most buses have them, either on the front or on the side by the door. I don’t think there has been a selection process, I think they have just been fitted to whichever buses were there at the time.

Re: Worcester's DD usage.

Routes and times for the S3 and S4 services to Blessed Edwards School have changed to try and even out the loadings. The S4 now starts in Fernhill Heath to take the pressure off the S2, and the S3 now runs via Millwood Drive to replace that part of the old S4 route.

It's now back in its normal spot for the night, but here's a photo from it's brief excursion today.
