When new the doors were electric but they were very unreliable and converted to standard some time ago. As with all StreetLites, the brakes lock on when the doors are open but the electric system wasn’t as strong as compressed air and so the doors would open slightly sometimes when you hit a bump, ...

They were fitted on Monday at Crowngate by a couple of spare drivers, so most of the fleet were covered.
I hope those picked for this task had had suitable training and a risk assessment had been done. :shock:
