Re: Livery change on Salt Road buses ?

Thanks for the info lads. I guess it will be a " one off " then. I thought it looked good though. 8-) The close-ups are of 69452 and the full side view is of 69456 taken in Crowngate bus station at lunchtime today 15 June 2019. 15 June 2019 Shrub Hill 013.JPG 15 June 2019 Shrub Hill 014.JPG ...

60103 'Flying Scotsman' at Shrub Hill 15 June 2019.

I joined the throng at Shrub Hill this morning and managed these pictures of 60103 'Flying Scotsman' which worked a charter from London Paddington to Worcester via Swindon and Cheltenham. It returns later today via Evesham and Oxford. 15 June 2019 Shrub Hill 002.JPG 15 June 2019 Shrub Hill 004.JPG 1...

Re: First Group to be split and sold off.

I was trawling the web for any more information about First Bus sell-off and came across this link, it is just over a week old so many of you may already know about the meeting of shareholders on 25 June 2019. Perhaps the way forward will become clearer after this meeting? https://www.proactiveinves...

Re: Livery change on Salt Road buses ?

From a distance , it looks like one of the above buses has extra coloured stripes added just before the rear wheel arch. Similar to the ones on the "spare buses". Can any one confirm please ?? :) I asked the same question the other day and told the rainbow stripe on one of the Salt Road Volvos was ...

There are worse companies than Stagecoach.....
Agreed, Stagecoach are one of the better companies. I would add that despite the many criticisms by members of this site and I am one of the loudest critics, there are a number of worse companies than Firstbus too.

Re: Worcestershire's future passenger transport

The problems experienced by buses attempting to enter the city from Rainbow Hil, Tolladine Road and Shrub Hill Road appear to be caused by cars wanting to access the Asda car park at far end of Pheasant Street. I wonder if the long tailbacks might be alleviated by taking about 10 feet off the bottom...

Re: First Group to be split and sold off.

Not sure which bit you hate the most, so here’s a shot looking down at the rear seat and floor for you. This is on a short-E200 acquires with Wessex last year. All have had a full refurbish inside and out before entering service. LOL  !!! Thanks Adam for the instantaneous photos !!! -- I would...

Re: Worcestershire's future passenger transport

DD12 - usual the Council are working "flat out" with the scheme to reduce congestion. That article wasn't worth the paper it was printed on - Worcester's officials are pathetic and haven't got the balls to do anything. The Worcester News (if it still exists by then) could simply print exactly the s...

Thanks for posting the link, the new livery certainly looks different to any other operator's coaches, quite stylish. Will reserve judgement until I see it in the metal!

Re: Train Rattles

Elsewhere on the forum there have been comments about bus build quality and rattles, this is the train interior rattle rant! Travelling on a cross city 323 earlier today for the first time in a long time it was noticable how solid and non-rattling these trains are given they’re over 25 years old! (...
