Re: "Refreshed 144" !

I don’t think so. It arrived with a suspension problem and was waiting for parts... In all the euphoria over the new green livery I have tended to overlook the fact that these Volvo single-deckers are eight years old and spent most of their operating career in the Bristol area working high density ...

Re: FMR: Refurbs and Repaints

Diamond did the “Matron” thing a few years ago and got into a spot of bother over it. I don't have the 'Matron' advert on file but these shots of Diamond Solos taken in September 2009 give a flavour of their themes and show that the idea is not new. I have a vague recollection that the nurse depict...

In the city today for blood test and to pick up prescriptions and, more by luck than judgement, managed the attached quick shots between buses in Crowngate and Barbourne, Worcester. 01 November 2017 Worcester. 104.jpg 01 November 2017 W...

Re: 'Royal Scot' on Charter at Worcester 28 Oct. 2017.

Sorry, Tim - just realised I thanked the wrong person for the Royal Scot photos. They reminded me a bit of my trips to Shrub Hill in the late 1950's and early 60's to see The Devonian (Bradford to Paignton train) which used to call at around 2:15 pm I think. It was usually hauled by a Jubilee, the ...

'Royal Scot' on Charter at Worcester 28 Oct. 2017.

A selection of photos taken of LMS 46100 'Royal Scot' working a charter into Worcester from Paddington Saturday 28 Oct 2017, some of these shots taken into the sun are a bit dark but the steam effects are a small consolation. 60103 'Flying Scotsman' was originally booked for this run, however 'Royal...

Rather ironically, the steam loco "The Flying Scotsman" WAS due to appear in Worcester this Saturday the 28th, but has developed a fault - It would be...

Re: Autumn service changes ??

I hope that the changes to the 38/X38, and the 44 will work well, and that the customers will get used to them - perhaps just a loss of buses and convenience at certain times ??? I hope customers in Canterbury Road DO NOT get used to the changes to 38 X38 route and complain vehemently to their City...

Re: "Refreshed 144" !

Tim With regards to your comment about diesel trains throwing out noxious emissions - it is rather ironic that the present government has stated that all new cars built from 2040 will have to be electric, they haven't thought about where all this electricity will come from, and they have cancelled ...
