A Cavalcade passed through Worcester Shrub Hill on Tuesday 8 May 2018 en route from Severn Valley Railway Kidderminster to Swanage for a Diesel Gala. 45041 'Royal Tank Regiment' was built at Crewe 06/62 and withdrawn 05/88. The 'Peaks' were used regularly on express trains operating from the North W...

Redditch Thursday 3 May 2018.

MAN 12.240 with Plaxton Centro bodywork was my transport from Kidderminster to Redditch running nearly 30 minutes late. It rattles, shakes, has harsh suspension and seems to lack power on hills; sufficient legroom is the only redeeming feature - I don't like these buses at all! 03 May 2018 Redditch ...

Kidderminster Thursday 3 May 2018

I had a short ride out to Kidderminster and Redditch Thursday 3 May 2018 and took these shots in Kidderminster bus station. My transport from The New Inn Ombersley Road was 30813 FJ57 CYW a Volvo B7RLE with Wright Eclipse Urban bodywork which is about to return to Worcester on the 303. Nice bus to t...

Crowngate Thursday 3 May 2018.

Just a couple of photos taken whilst waiting for my 37 home yesterday afternoon around 3 PM. Actually managed a picture of 33043 where the tiny fleet number is clearly visible - more by luck than judgement! 03 May 2018 Worcester 036.jpg Plus a shot of BMC school bus 68559 coming into the bus station...

Re: Charter Breakdown

Sorry your day out was memorable for all the wrong reasons! I wasn't going to post these photos, but other contributors may be interested to see that it was 47749 'City of Truro' which caused all the grief. Despite carrying Colas Freight livery this loco was recently acquired by GBRF and is part of ...

Re: Training Buses

If the company is looking to recruit trainee and qualified drivers it might be prudent in the interests of employment equality to put two people on the revamped training vehicles - a female and a male. If they are both young this could attract students freshly qualified from college or university in...

Re: Transport Museum, Wythall Sunday 1 April 2018.

Passed my PSV [any type of vehicle on 4107 at Bearwood in 1966. Any left at all ? A few D7s have survived to my knowledge, (there may be more); 4082 THA 82 is owned by Brian Waldron of Bromsgrove. It is complete but may need extensive restoration if it was to be used on the public road again. 4482 ...

Re: Hostile American takeover bid for First Group.

Hands off the First Group Pension Fund. I thought that recent legislation made Pension Funds the property of the pension holders held in [b] trust [/u] and administered by the Trustees. It seems that funds are still vulnerable to unscrupulous employers! I only receive about £34 per week from my pen...

This snippet in today's Daily Mail Business section.

Apparently Apollo Global Management have a reputation for asset stripping ailing unprofitable companies and putting them on a sound financial footing - at least whatever is left of them.
