Re: Devastated Services (Coronavirus)

Thanks for flagging that up Michael !! I don't properly understand some of it though ! If it means a sensible service level on the 303 (Diamond), 363, and 417 PM peak (etc) will be restored, then that's great !! But shouldn't it be free travel for the time-being, so that the driver's cab can be full...

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, it looks like a further reduction in services is imminent (reflecting the even tighter restrictions on personal movement) !!

Re: Devastated Services (Coronavirus)

With regard to Upton, the Spar there is one of the best shops in the area, I went in just after lunchtime today, full stocks of fresh fruit and veg and not too many other gaps. As well as collecting eggs and planting up the garden, I'm volunteering delivering shopping from the also excellent Wellan...

Re: Devastated Services (Coronavirus)

The plan is for drivers to work two weeks on, two weeks off. That sounds like a sensible, simple plan -- -- I hope that you all get 80% of your lost wages, and that everything works-out well for you all. I also hope that all paying passengers have contactless cards that are working properly. GOOD H...

Re: Devastated Services (Coronavirus)

It appears that there will be NO First buses between Upton and Worcester (unless this is an over-sight / error in the "notices") !! That also means none serving Welland, Hanley Swan, and Callow End -- -- so how will certain people cope ? -- grocery delivery slots (Tesco) are fully booked for the nex...

Devastated Services (Coronavirus)

https://www.firstgroup.com/worcestershire/news-and-service-updates/coronavirus-covid19-service-information Well who would have believed things could get so bad. At least when "this" is all over, we have a government that has recognised the importance of bus services, and is willing to put more money...

Re: Transport Museum, Wythall and COVID19

P.S. - the correct charity name to enter appears to be Transport Museum Wythall. Also, the percentage of the unit price donated is probably a lot less than I implied above (Sorry !) -- I was confused because the message from them showed a picture of the item I had just bought, but upon re-reading it...

Re: Transport Museum, Wythall and COVID19

Good Luck and Good Health to everyone at the museum ! Now is a good time to remind all our forum members and visitors about "amazon smile". With the onset of the pandemic, I have started to make some purchases via amazon.co.uk that I would normally go to shops / stores to buy (examples -- dettol soa...
