Re: The "Fifties"

[quote=AdamH post_id=3959 time=1516126727 user_id=48] The S51 was mentioned too, but I can't remember why! I don't suppose you would be able to find out more about what was said as i use the S51 to get to & from college. It would be good to know of any changes in advance. :) As someone who uses thi...

66305 has been sent to Leicester to see if they can fix an ABS fault. It is due to transfer there once all the green buses are in service, so it will be interesting to see if it ever comes back.
Thanks for the "intelligence" Adam !

Other Operators

Adam :- I have noticed that the section "OTHER OPERATORS" is divided-up into a selection of specific operators, but doesn't include operators like Kev's, and Finesse, and new operators - is there any chance you could add a "sub-division" or "slot" for other operators or miscellaneous operators, plea...

Re: New operator Finesse Travel on stage carriage 2018.

Thanks for highlighting this, Tim.

It is interesting that in these difficult times and very tight economics for bus operators, that there are still a few willing to enter the sector.

I guess this work fits in with other work they've got, or intend to get.

It had a gearbox change over the Christmas holidays and went back into service. I think it lasted about half a day before it expired in Crowngate.

Re: The "Fifties"

Are any up yet ??

IF not, I could be cynical and say perhaps too few people are using "the Fifties" to bother with it -- but just before Xmas a member of my family tried to catch a "small bus" on the 52/53/54 on the Bath Road, but it wouldn't stop because it was chock-a-bloc full !

The other evening, I was on the Bath Road, and I (just-about) saw this bus approaching. It was on the last 333 to Upton, but one could only see that when the bus was VERY close, as the lighting of the old dot-matrix screen was very dim - - - when I first spotted it, I hardly realised it was a bus at...

In early December, I saw this in full Midland Red livery and with the additional decorations for contactless payments -- - and it was "like someone had flicked a switch on in my head" :D -- - it was the first time that I had felt that Midland Red might have survived and the livery for the whole flee...

This bus is proving a bit elusive ! It did enter service briefly, but then spent a long time parked on "the patch", in store - - then during the xmas period I saw it over the pits, presumably being worked on. Then, after xmas, I saw that it was listed in "our" fleet list as Worcester again - rather ...
