Re: Showbus 17 Sept. 2017 part eight.

Can confer with Tim's notes, as a previous owner of ONN571P; I bought it straight out of service from Trent. With its 'tall' ratio diff' it could get up to 62mph but had a matching thirst! Its 'Wobblebrook' bodywork whilst looking good externally had several underlying defects........ Thanks 943KHA...

Re: Worcester depot. 9-7-10.

This thread has been an interesting "retrospective", thanks everyone.

- unfortunately it is yet another reminder to some of us - "of a certain age" -
that time is passing-by at a ferocious rate !! :|

Re: Autumn service changes ??

I haven't made a study of this 10 ticket matter yet Tim, but it certainly appears that the company has made a blunder that needs rectifying !

I would expect any "open-ended" credits I have with any organisation to last for 12 months from the date of payment.

Re: FMR Fleet Movements

Surely it can't be too much longer until the first refurbished volvo's arrive (it feels like we've been waiting for months now) I agree ! - I'm getting impatient :D I WAS hoping that 5 or 6 would be ready for service from around October 15th, but I have only heard, (so far), of up to 4 having...

Re: Autumn service changes ??

Summery of October 16th Changes... These are my own observations looking at the timetables, I may well have missed a few things. 30 . Reduced to every 12-minutes off peak but using larger vehicles. 31 . Split into two routes. Service 31 as before but every 30-minutes, plus new Service 31U ru...

Re: Autumn service changes ??

Regarding a "back-up" vehicle with seat-belts for the Ledbury - Much Marcle school service (and 53802) - - would one of WR's existing (bigger) Solos be able to squeeze along the route ? - - if so, perhaps one could be fitted with seat belts (?) (From October 16th it might be possible to utilise one ...

Re: Transport Museum, Wythall Monday 28 August 2017 part one.

Before today I was also under the impression it was a non-runner, however when connected to an external battery pack it started first time. There was quite a lot of smoke, but I've seen service buses with worse! It was a bit rattly though. https://youtu.be/MPY8Ck74kCo Thanks very much for that vide...

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester

A number of fixed and working Stoke vehicles have been towed home because they have been out of MOT by the time they are fixed (normally parked up for weeks or months before coming to Worcester). If another broken bus is towed to Worcester, it makes sense to use the tow truck to take a non-MOT bus ...
