Re: Autumn service changes ??

Regarding a "back-up" vehicle with seat-belts for the Ledbury - Much Marcle school service (and 53802) - - would one of WR's existing (bigger) Solos be able to squeeze along the route ? - - if so, perhaps one could be fitted with seat belts (?) (From October 16th it might be possible to utilise one ...

Re: Transport Museum, Wythall Monday 28 August 2017 part one.

Before today I was also under the impression it was a non-runner, however when connected to an external battery pack it started first time. There was quite a lot of smoke, but I've seen service buses with worse! It was a bit rattly though. https://youtu.be/MPY8Ck74kCo Thanks very much for that vide...

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester

A number of fixed and working Stoke vehicles have been towed home because they have been out of MOT by the time they are fixed (normally parked up for weeks or months before coming to Worcester). If another broken bus is towed to Worcester, it makes sense to use the tow truck to take a non-MOT bus ...

Re: Visiting Buses at Worcester

Just followed 31786 up the London Road - it was being towed - front jacked-up - behind a recovery truck, and entered the M5 northbound. SO ! - having been towed all the way down to Worcester, is it going to be towed all the way back to Yorkshire, I wonder ? - With winds of 75 MPH forecast, I wouldn'...

Re: FMR Fleet Movements

Those Jersey Darts would be great on the new contracts. We have started using a 6669x series Volvo on one of the contract running boards. This will work the 674 which is carrying about 35 kids and then several 417s. The reason is the Darts have a poor turning circle and can't get round Finchers Cor...

I see in the current fleet list that 67653 is now listed as in store !

Can anyone ( - like Adam  ) - tell me WHY (?) - - when according to my reckoning, WR is SHORT of buses ? :ugeek:

Re: FMR Fleet Movements

Anyway, back to the here and now... With the arrival of the 59-reg Volvos for use on 144, that route will be converted back to single-deck only. A huge disappointment for some I know, but bear with me on this as there is method in their madness. You'll just have to wait and see what it is! SO ! - D...

Re: FMR Fleet Movements

I was thinking, if first needed another solo with belts for the new Herefordshire contracts (possibly for use only as a spare) Astons operate CN07 KZS which is a solo (with belts) that occasionaly appeared on the 405/417/675 so Astons may consider getting rid of it as they won't be needing as many ...
