Re: 33401 etc.

There isn't any real need for deckers at the moment, as most school services are not running at the moment, and those that do carry only one or two passengers. Next week, services are being reduced to around 60% of current levels due to the lockdown, so all deckers will probably be sorned.

Re: The first Leyland National

Nothing Changes. Passengers still complain, "this bus is always late and then the driver has to change". Don't they realise that buses change drivers at the same time and place each day - that's the way bus companies work.

Re: The first Leyland National

It's a long time ago, but I don't remember 101 being at Worcester for training duties. I can recall going to Padmore Street and seeing 120-122 newly arrived in the garage, with all the engineers looking all over them.

Bristol LH

I know that Midland Red had a batch of Bristol LH's on order, but they were diverted to Crosville (I think), but am I imagining it, but did MR or one of the post-1981 companies hire a version for a short time. I am sure I have seen a photograph, anyone have any further info.

Re: Cannock depot sold to Centrebus/D & G Bus

So does that leave just three depots, Shrewsbury, Telford and Tamworth. If so I would have thought that Tamworth, being well removed from the other two, could transfer to Leicester area administration. I also think that the two remaining depots are also under threat of sale. The mighty Midland Red e...

The first Leyland National

Has anyone noticed that the photo of 101 HHA101L, when new, appears to have Worcester destination blinds even though it went originally to Leicester. 102-119 were allocated to BIrmingham area depots, so why would it have such blinds?

Re: The Tracker

No deckers received Severnlink branding, as there were none operated at Worcester/Bromsgrove at the time, all deckers were gone from Severnlink territory towards the end of the 1970's. There were 3 ex-Trent deckers at Hereford with Wandaward branding. 6043 was at Evesham, but I don't recall it runni...
