Re: The 35

Nothing has changed - in fact it has got worse over the past few years. A couple of years ago the council decided to limit parking on Rainbow Hill, unfortunately they only did about 30 yards, so there is still parking towards the top of the hill. There is one van that has been parked there and as fa...

Re: "New" vehicles for Worcester?

The 6 Mercedes have now been increased to 8, once again garage gossip. The one at Leicester is there to be inspected by Thorntons with regard to reburbishment, which will include additional seating, as the Citaros have larger luggage pens for use around Heathrow airport. I have also been told that w...

"New" vehicles for Worcester?

There have been some rumours around the Canteen at Crowngate saying that Worcester are expecting 6 Mercedes-Benz Citaros from the depot(s) at Slough and Bracknell. Has anyone any more information. I've never driven a Mercedes (apart from the awful 608's), but have travelled on Yarrantons vehicle man...

Re: Conductors Whistles in Times Gone By

Also in Worcester, the W4 Malvern Road, and W16 Bromwich Road services usually reversed with the aid of a Conductor and his (or her) whistle. I remember S16 and S17s outside my Aunties house in White Road, and I used to stand outside and watch every hour, much to the amusement of the bus crews!

The same thing happened last year, and it took a couple of weeks to refit the transfers

Re: The "Fifties"

I believe that the flags for the Fifties, and also for the 144s, have arrived and the person responsible for fitting them is trying to arrange a few days off from driving so that he can fit them. He has more bus shelter signs for Crowngate to fit, but needs a couple of days to do it.

Re: "Refreshed 144" !

How to confuse passengers - put a green Volvo on the 36 to the Hospital, seen this afternoon in Warndon, with 67664 behind and me in 47519 on the other side of the road and you have three completely different liveries all together.
What a pity I didn't have my camera on me!
